Do you want to know what is the best part about being married? It's having your best friend by your side to experience new adventures.
Four years of wedded bliss is what A and I celebrated yesterday. The years seem to pass by quickly and the need or want for presents isn't there. What's more fun is surprising your spouse with small meaningful gestures. The gestures are almost always unexpected and will surely give the recipient a huge smile.
Sometimes imagining creative gestures can be hard. The mail could be brought in or the trash could be taken out, but I think it's fun to do something more than that. Today I want to share with you my Guide to Surprising Your Spouse.
Go on a picnic. Okay, this might sound like a typical date activity, but pack everything for your spouse. Plan out the food or snacks, gather some waters or other beverages, grab a blanket, and pack the remainder of the bags or picnic basket. Trust me when I say that your spouse with love you for taking the initiative. Then, go off and enjoy the scenery of a local park or even your own backyard.
Pickup your spouse's favorite snack or candy. Food always seem to be the answer to anything and surprising your spouse with their favorite treat will put a smile on their face. Even if you and yours are health conscious, a little treat can't hurt. Or surprise them with some fruit. Package up the treat in some cute wrapping and it looks like a present.
Write encouraging notes. Use a dry erase pen to write encouraging love notes on mirrors that your spouse will see prior to heading to work. Or if your spouse takes a lunch to work, you can leave sweet love notes in their lunch. Unsolicited notes are wonderful.
Act like a kid and have a water balloon fight. Now, bombing your spouse with water filled balloons without their knowledge would probably make them not so happy. That smile you were looking for might turn into a few select words. If you know what I'm saying. Give your spouse fair warning so they can lose their electronics. Not only will your spouse have a huge smile, because we all love acting like kids, but you will have fun right alongside them.
Have a special meal cooked and ready. I don't come from a household that dinner is ready for my spouse and on the table every night he comes home. Ain't nobody got time for that. So, on occasion, it's nice to surprise your spouse with a home cooked meal ready to be eaten upon their arrival home from work, or wherever they are coming from. Set the table well in advance and keep the food warm in a low temperature oven. Then, pour the wine, serve up their favorite beer, or any other liquids you both enjoy.
Get some goodies for the nightstand. In case you missed the theme, surprising your spouse doesn't mean you don't get to have fun too. Arranging some lotions, massage oils, or personal lubricants on your spouse's nightstand will surely surprise them. The K-Y® LOVE Passion Pleasure Gel from Walmart is compact and can discreetly be moved to a drawer when guests come over.
You can find K-Y® LOVE Sensuality Pleasure Gel at Walmart in the Personal Care aisle!
